Helping You Choose A Coach/Trainer

Very rarely should you be doing the same program for over 6 weeks. Pay attention so you are being developed in an appropriate fashion and not just doing the same session time and time again.

Adaptations are also vital!

Whether it is an injury, issues that can arise due to body type or even if you’ve had a bad day at work.  Some exercises may cause pain or discomfort. In this case you shouldn’t be forced to keep going. Any trainer with skill will give you an appropriate adaption which will have a similar training effect but without out the pain.

What I Learned From Troy

The headline of this blog may seem bizarre to many including me.

What possibly could I learn from watching Troy?

Especially when we are talking in reference from a health and fitness standpoint.

Although I will say the boys in that movie are in serious shape, abs for days.

They must be paying attention to my blog or training with me.

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty.

“The downfall of all men is wanting more.”

This is the quote from the movie that got me thinking.

When it’s time for one year to end and another to start is a time were people take stock and reflect on their lives.

So it’s at this time where I always rack my brains on the best way to keep people on the right path.

This quote made a lightbulb go off for me as I illuminated a potential pitfall many people may be caught out by.

Unrealistic goal setting.

There is nothing wrong with ambition but if you set your goals to lofty and difficult it makes them seem so far away and like you will never get there.

This can be very off putting and kill your motivation and drive to succeed.

Break it into manageable stages so you develop a nice curve of constant progression.

This will allow you to get the buzz and happiness from achieving at every step which will help spur you onto the next and larger goals.

Goal setting is a great tool but if done wrong has the ability to be disastrous.

If you are struggling to know what is appropriate why not seek help from professionals like myself or others that will be able to help you set you targets to a correct level to fit your circumstances.

You may think you have enough knowledge to do so yourself but please have realistic expectations.
